The Birth of SJT Global Arts

SJT Global Arts Was Born at a First Friday Exhibit:

On the occasion of the November 5th First Friday's Artwalk Celebration, I launched SJT Global Arts, with my partner, Mulenga. The Artwalk is a special community feature in Richmond. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our business with a festive mix of music, food and fun.

At this Artshow, many guests toured through two reception halls featuring a collection entitled "Journey to the Motherland" and "Expressions in Jazz".

The following is a your virtual show featuring a few works from the First Friday Art Show. All works are painted in oil on canvas, with text capturing thoughts and feelings behind the images.

The theme "Journey to the Motherland" was inspired by Sir James' travels to Ghana, West Africa:

“A Woman’s Work is Never Done”
A woman finds her true place where she is able to affirm herself, her family, and her village.

"African Beauty"
She has everything she needs to design her own destiny.

"Africa's Beauty"
When her spirit’s excellence is lovingly fulfilled, from within, Africa’s beauty shines on everyone.

"And Ye Shall Become Fisherman"

A man's place is to feed himself, his family, and humanity's future.

The following theme "Expressions in Jazz" was inspired by Sir James' love of jazz music and all of its forms around the world:

"Blowing in the Wind"

Blow the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah. Sound an alarm...Hosea 5:18
